When I needed work and decided to look in this job finders magazine while I was sitting waiting for the bus with these Edmonton clients from the group home, I saw these advertisement for working at Walmart. When I decided to bring a resume it was totally different from the old me and courageous and knowing I needed a change,
It was a big jump into the next level of my life - moving out of the city with a man I barely knew and sort of trusted, but the love and offer was there as well as the love I felt for him to start a job 20 minutes from a main bus line and totally rely on him to get me to the new job I needed to get which happened to be Walmart.
After applying there and getting assistance from the Walmart people and a long process of getting the knowledge and skills to work there I have successfully completed four days. The last days on the floor with in the bedding and sheets section which is called The Domestics.
What a hard job working there, big items to move to certain locations, boxes to flatten and put away to the bales bin, climbing up on ladders to reach the very top shelf and repeatedly bring things up and down, getting so hot and tired and more then if I would have stayed with my work in Edmonton. There are rewards of course and it will be shown in a paycheck
